Cicada Wing Pendant, Real Cicada Wing Jewelry

I created this pendant is with a found expired cicada wing. This is a top or forewing and was set between glass. I soldered a frame using a tiffany style with a textured surface and treatednwith a patina finish before being sealed and polished. It hangs on an adjustable 18-20" black cotton necklace cord. A fun curiosity piece and so interesting to look at the patterns and shimering iridescence of parts of the wing

Handcrafted by me in my London Ontario Canada studio.   Though my pieces are watertight, they are not 100% waterproof so care should be taken to not allow these to get wet.
