Mother Of Pearl Crystal Gemstone Necklace & Earring Set

This real butterfly necklace is adequate with the species from Africa called Salamis parhassus, aka Mother of Pearl Butterfly.  It is such a gorgeous grey butterfly with great black spots and eye spots.  As it moves in the light it retracts from its scales.a luminescence of pinks and purples.   This Butterfly has a natural flaw across one of its eye spots and reflects a purple blue spot flash.  It's quite unique!

This is a set that contains two necklaces and matching set of earrings.  The outer necklace is 22"and contains small faceted smokey grey and silver faceted crystals, Hematite spacers and dragonvein agate which hangs the butterfly.  The other necklace is 18" and is made solely with 4mm faceted crystals and the earrings are surgical steel and are made with the same beads as the long necklace 

ALL Butterfly and Moth Specimens are purchased through a licensed supplier through Environment Canada. The source of these specimens is attained from global butterfly farms. The winged butterflies & moths fly in freedom until naturally expired where they are collected by workers and packaged for shipping. These farms provide employment, education and repopulation of the reared species back into their locales.
