Blue Codd Marble Necklace, Codd Marble Pendant, British Heritage Necklace, Vintage B;ue Marble Necklace
This marble pendant is made with a piece of British Heritage. This stunning pale blue Codd marble was valued in a collection of marbles I received. I wanted to honor this piece of heritage by placing it in a beautiful setting to reflect it's glow. It is made with lead free silver alloy to form a sunburst effect around the marble. Set on a thick silver plated non tarnish 28 inch chain. This little Marble is approx 150 years old!
Hiram Codd (10 January 1838 – 18 February 1887) was an English engineer. In 1872, he patented a bottlefilled under gas pressure which pushed a marble against a rubber washer in the neck, creating a perfect seal. This became known as the Codd bottle
